SEO optimization for fashion sites

If you have a fashion site and you need it to rank higher in search engines (in fact who doesn't want that!), then our experience may be at help. Recently we optimized the web site of the Bulgarian fashion brand Karina to rank higher in Google for the phrase "clothing manufacturer". We made a redesign of the site and created unique page titles and descriptions. We renamed the address of the index page of the English version of the site to "clothing_manufacturer.php". Our designer validated the code and we also added image alt tags that contain this phrase.

The most important part was adding links to the site. Since we own several successful fashion sites we added links to the web site of Karina company from the phrase "clothing manufacturer" in different articles in BGfashion.net, World-fashion.info and Fashion.bg. We also added Karina in Google Maps, Google places and some sewing directories. Currently the site is on 20th place (second page) when you search in google for "clothing manufacturer" and the total results in Google for this phrase are about 7 880 000. We have also added Google Analytics to the site and diagnose the site with the Google webmasters tool.
